Tenesha leads the foundation’s strategy and investments in Birth Equity, where she focuses on the intersection of birth and economic justice to elevate community led solutions that improve care quality and outcomes. Prior to joining Tara Health, Tenesha was an Investment Associate at Rhia Ventures, where she supported deal evaluation and managed reproductive health care service delivery projects. She has led and facilitated coalitions of abortion providers and advocates, and also served as the Membership Director of the National Abortion Federation where she focused on quality in abortion care delivery and experience, organizational development, and clinic sustainability. She also previously worked as the Administrator / Director of Southwestern Women’s Surgery Center, where she led all operations and business development. Tenesha is an MBA candidate at Howard University, holds a masters degree in Psychology from Kingston University and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Oklahoma.
