Iris Kuo, Principal, Workplace Equity

Iris Kuo leads strategy and investments for Tara Health’s Workplace Equity portfolio, where she focuses on gender, racial, and economic justice and BIPOC women working low-wage, hourly positions. She previously led the gender equality data company LedBetter which published analysis and storytelling on gender in the workplace that was widely featured in media outlets including Fortune, CNN, CBS, Wired, The Washington Post and others. Iris spent over a decade as a journalist and writer for publications including The Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post and The Atlantic, covering business and racial equality in Asia and the U.S. She has been interviewed on Marketplace public radio and NPR member stations. Iris holds a masters from Columbia University, where she was a Knight-Bagehot fellow studying business, economics and journalism, and undergraduate degrees in business and arts & performance from the University of Texas at Dallas.
